GIGABYTE passively cools HD 4850

Most of us are aware of the highly underwhelming single-slot stock cooler used on AMD's HD 4850 graphics card, barely being able to keep the cards temps at bay whilst it dishes out some fantastic bang for buck framerates.

 

We have seen a few non-reference coolers attached to the card from partners since launch, but GIGABYTE have managed to go one better by releasing an all-passive cooled model which harnesses Multi-Core Cooling technology.

If it's UVD 2 + effortless performance + dead silence you seek (the perfect HTPC/gaming companion?) then this could well be your answer. To ensure stability isn't in any way compromised with its fanless design, clockspeeds have been left alone at their default ratings.
