Foxconn's mighty Blood Rage X58 pictured

Foxconn has more so recently proven itself to be capable of producing some pretty jaw dropping enthusiast boards which are well worthy of going up against the best ASUS and GIGABYTE has to offer, especially across the Quantum Force lineup. Yet another testament to that is the upcoming X58 chipset based "Blood Rage" for Core i7.

VR-Zone managed to snap a couple of shots of this highly impressive looking board in all its red and black glory. All the expected features are there, and then some. We have DDR3-1800+ triple channel ready memory slots, but interestingly there is only three of them residing on this board. The inclusion of four PCIe x16 slots is nice, ready for both CrossfireX and SLI configurations. Further to that is a very serious copper-happy heatpipe system with interchangeable Northbridge block; it can be passively, actively, water or even LN2 cooled using a 4-in-1 system, much like that on the Black Ops board.

Rounding off the extensive feature set are two SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) ports along with the usual six SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, dual eSATA on the rear I/O, dual Gigabit Ethernet, Power, Reset and Clear CMOS buttons, a bundled X-Fi sound card, 14-phase power circuit and also the inclusion of a 5.25" overclocking bay which, not unlike ASUS' OC Palm edition P6T Deluxe board, will enable easy on-the-fly overclocking whilst dazzling up the look of your rig some more.

Pricing hasn't yet been mentioned but we would expect this jaw dropping piece of kit to be priced right at the top-end, along with the likes of ASUS' ROG series Rampage II Extreme and boards of its calibre.
