ASUS Rampage II Extreme gets set for take-off

Ushering in NVIDIA 3-Way SLI functionality, amongst other innovations, the ASUS Rampage II Extreme motherboard is set to be a hot contender for the Intel X58 performance crown. The company is sparing little expense by beefing up its flagship X58 solution with a 16-phase power supply for the CPU and, 3-phase power for the QPI/DRAM, Northbridge and memory, respectively.

Together with ASUS engineered initiatives to create, what the company hopes, is a harmonious fusion, users can expect the Rampage II Extreme to be an able member of any Nehalem war chest.

With the first of Intel's Core i7 offerings to launch in little under a month, the ASUS Rampage II Extreme is one to look out for and is clearly aiming, to take the ROG line to new heights.
