Beta GeForce driver enables X58 SLI goodness

Since we first reported that NVIDIA's SLI technology was making its way to an Intel X58 solution near you, there has been a great deal of anticipation from enthusiasts, to reap the rewards of this marriage.

 

Beta GeForce driver enables X58 SLI goodness

 

GeForce GTX 280, GTX 260, 9800 GX2, 9800 GTX+ and 9800 GTX users are in luck. The Santa Clara, CA based company has just make its Beta GeForce 180.42 driver available for download that, excitedly, enables the usage of NVIDIA SLI technology with certified Intel X58 powered motherboard solutions.

 

As expected, the usual OS suspects are all catered for.

 

This driver is also earmarked as offering the best gaming experience with acclaimed gaming title, Far Cry 2.
