aqua-computer ready up waterblocks for Core i7
German computer cooling specialist aqua-computer has let us know some of their high-end cuplex series CPU waterblocks including the cuplex xt, cuplex xt di and cuplex hd are now available with conversion kits/mounting brackets to suit Intels Core i7 (LGA1366) platform.
The heart of each water-cooling system is the processor cooler. It is supposed to pick up the heat of the small processor core quickly and to transfer it to the cooling water via a big surface. This cooler is made from copper, a metal with a very high heat conductivity. The water flows through an optimized canal system and picks up the heat on the way. A cooler by aqua computer is no "black box ": the copper block is sealed with a high quality plexiglas-lid which allows for a clear view of the functionality.
This unique combination of copper and plexiglas introduced by aqua computer gave the name to the first CPU-cooler made by us: "cuplex".
You can learn a bit more about some of their cuplex range here and the ability to purchase directly from them is possible here.
