ASUS makes its Eee Top desktop PC specs official

By: (more) | Posted: Nov 3, 2008 8:05 am

First the ever popular Eee PC netbook, then the Eee Box and now the Eee Top - when will all this Eee-silliness end? Probably not for a long time, but anyway... where were we?

ASUS makes its Eee Top desktop PC specs official

Details of the first 15.6-inch widescreen touch-screen-able ASUS Eee Top desktop PCs have been made official with listings on the ASUS website. The models are called ET1602 and ET1603 and both come with an Intel Atom N270 processor clocked at 1.6GHz, 1GB of DDR2 memory, 160GB SATAII 5400 RPM hard drive, 1.3 megapixel web cam, 802.11n wireless, a couple USB 2.0 ports and card reader and 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN. Windows XP Home comes installed on both models.

From what we can see, the only difference between the two models is that the ET1602 uses onboard Intel graphics, while the ET1603 gets an upgrade to ATI Mobility Radeon HD3450 graphics. While there seems to be an error on the ASUS website, it would also seem like the 1603 model also gets Bluetooth support while the 1602 does not.

You can find the product websites of both products here and here.
