In the aftermath of its Core i7 launch, 45nm variants of Intel's Core 2 line-up aren't safe from the company's planned phase-out plan either, according to this report from TechConnect Magazine.

It is believed that the Santa Clara, CA based company's 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo E8190 and E8200 offerings, together with its 2.66 GHz Core 2 Quad Q9450 SKU, will also be given marching orders.

Again, it is suggested that the company shall accept orders for the SKUs in question until March 6th, 2009, whilst deliveries will continue till June 2009. Tray versions, on the other hand, shall ship through to May 2010.
