Noctua release a NH-U12P to suit Core i7

By: (more) | Posted: Nov 12, 2008 11:48 pm

If you're a fan of Noctua's range of high-end CPU coolers and you're also looking down the barrel of a Nehalem platform for yourself, you'll be glad to know Noctua has just released a new version of its kickass NH-U12P model which comes with the Core i7/LGA1366-supporting SecuFirm2 mounting system.

The NH-U12P SE1366 boasts an all-copper base and heat-pipes nestled under a beastly aluminum heatsink. Two 120mm SSO bearing NF-P12 fans are mounted to the cooler using a push/pull arrangement. Noctua sweetens the deal a bit more with the inclusion of their high-grade NT-H1 thermal compound material and a 6 year warranty.

It's expected that we'll start seeing these Core i7 ready coolers hit shelves as of next week at a price point of around $65 US.
