Intel officially begin selling Core i7 processors

By: (more) | CPU, APU & Chipsets News | Posted: Nov 17, 2008 5:33 am

Today is the day when Intel will officially allow retailers and system builders to begin selling its three Core i7 processors.

A bunch of retailers in the UK jumped the gun by a few days and Newegg jump the November 17th launch day by a day or two and is already listing the Core i7 920, 940 and top dog 965.

The 920 will set you back a reasonable $320, the 940 at a much richer $600 and the high-end 965 Extreme Edition will set you back $1070 - all including free shipping and in US dollars.

Time to upgrade to Core i7 and an X58 motherboard? Head on over to Newegg. While Australian retailers seem to be behaving themselves and waiting for the launch date, you can find a list of Core i7 related products in Australia at this website.
