Google Earth Used in Mumbai Attacks

Everything from its new Chrome Browser hoarding personal information (and screen shots of bank pages) to privacy issues over Street View.
Now after the tragic incident in Mumbai India it has come to light that the persons responsible used Google Earth to plan the attacks. Google Earth provides Satellite maps of…, well the whole Earth or pretty close to it. Many feel that Google is trampling on personal privacy and even National Security by providing a large amount of satellite and even ground level intelligence to anyone that wants it.
From Pedophiles to Criminals, to Terrorist anyone can grab an air shot and street level image of where you live or work, something that they would have had to do in person before. This long range recon makes prevention and apprehension a more daunting task.

It is not the first time that Google Earth was singled out as a potentially dangerous tool in the hands of terrorists. India's former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam warned in 2005 that unrestricted availability of detailed satellite imagery from services like Google Earth might help terrorists to carry out attacks. Security agencies in India, China and other countries have been concerned that Google Earth exposes their defense installations and unveil supposedly secret military installations. Media also reported that protesters in London used Google Earth to plan how to get to the rooftop of the Parliament building in London.
