32nm Atom up next?

Well it seems that Intel's Atom will also benefit from this move and help to widen the lead that Intel already has in the netbook market.

"Our manufacturing prowess and resulting products have helped us widen our lead in computing performance and battery life for Intel-based laptops, servers and desktops," said Mark Bohr, Intel Senior Fellow and director of process architecture and integration. "As we've shown this year, the manufacturing strategy and execution have also given us the ability to create entirely new product lines for MIDs, CE equipment, embedded computers and netbooks."
Just pay attention at the last word, as this is definitely proof enough that Intel plans a 32nm Atom. It is very logical as Intel will find a way to optimise this chip even further and probably bring the power consumption further down, and make Atom more acceptable for future netbooks and Multimedia internet devices (MIDs). Intel has created a new market and it wants to continue riding on its wave of success
