OCZ Apex series to replace Core series of SSDs
Comment | Print | Email to a Friend | Font Size: AADuring their travels at CES, Dailytech has learned that OCZ will soon be replacing its Core series of solid state drives with a new lineup, dubbed the "Apex" series.
These drives should take care of the known stutter bug many users have been finding with the Core series by means of a much larger cache (64MB) and improved firmware alongside other minor refinements. This family of SSDs will come in capacities of 30, 60, 120 and 250GB and offer read and write rates of up to 230MB/sec and 160MB/sec respectively.
The Apex series hasn't been officially unveiled yet, but we should see OCZ announce them within the next few weeks and it's been said they'll shift at similar price points to the existing Core series.
