AMD responds to GTX 295 with 4870 X2 pricedrops

And it appears the company has chosen to do just that. XBit Labs reports that a $100 shaving has taken place on the MSRP for the model this week, shifting from $549 down to $449. It's also been mentioned that some partners are further offering $50 mail-in rebates for their 4870 X2 models when purchasing through Newegg.com.
