ASRock SuperComputer X58 mainboard out this Month

ASRock has entered the high-end X58 board race with what looks like a very nice board.

 

Dubbed the SuperComputer it will offer four x16 slots for Crossfire or SLI (no word in if these are x16 mechanical with lower data rates yet though), Six DDR3-2000 Triple Channel slots for memory, Six SATA 3.0 Gbps ports and a host of other features. General availability is expected later this month

ASRock SuperComputer X58 mainboard out this Month

Fast forward two months and ASRock has finally introduced the product, with a few tweaks here and there.

 

Still named 'SuperComputer' the motherboard features support for LGA 1366 Core i7 processors, has six, triple channel-ready DDR3-2000 memory slots and four PCI-Express x16 slots for CrossFireX and SLI setups. The board also comes with six SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1 channel audio, and the InstantBoot feature.
