GALAXY have a non-reference 55nm GTX260+ coming

By: (more) | Posted: Jan 16, 2009 9:34 am

NVIDIA partner GALAXY has sent us some information relating to a special GTX260+ graphics card they're working on which the company claims will be the first non-reference 55nm GTX260 card to hit the market.

The core clockspeed is pumped up to 625MHz and the 896MB of Samsung GDDR3 memory bumped to 2100MHz, whilst the shaders operate at 1350MHz. It looks like they haven't finished their heatsink/fan design for this specific model yet and it will be interesting to see what they do with the card in this regard.

GALAXY includes their Xtreme Tuner software with the card which allows you to easily overclock, monitor temps and flash the BIOS. As far as outputs go, the card runs a dual-link DVI+HDMI+TV-OUT arrangement.

No word on a launch date or pricing as yet, but judging by the information and images given in this PDF file, it's not very far away. We'll be sure to organise a sample for review once available.
