Steve Jobs looking for re-election at Disney

By: (more) | Posted: Jan 20, 2009 6:16 pm

Sir Steve of Jobs is out of the office to recover his health. Interestingly enough while he is unable to attend work at Apple he does not seem so reluctant to working for Disney.

Jobs is the single largest Disney shareholder (7.4%) and has just submitted for re-election to Disney's board.

There is some talk that he might not be fit or able to perform the duties though as he only managed to attend 75% of the meetings he was supposed to when he was claiming good health.

Steve Jobs looking for re-election at Disney

Jobs has applied for re-election on the board of Disney. He is the largest single shareholder in Disney, with 7.4 per cent of the shares. There was some doubt if Jobs was going to be well enough to sit on the board, but he is apparently well enough to apply for re-election.

We can onl assume that the job of being a director of Disney is not as challenging as being a god in the hardware industry. When he was fighting fit, during 2008, Jobs showed up at about three quarters of meetings required.
