Jetway offers upgrade-friendly AM3 board

Motherboard maker Jetway has become the first to offer an AMD AM3 based motherboard with both DDR2 and DDR3 memory support, making for a very attractive upgrade option should you not want to move to DDR3 memry just yet.

 

Jetway offers upgrade-friendly AM3 board

 

The MA3-79GDG COMBO features two DDR2-1066 slots and two DDR3-1066 slots. It is a micro-ATX offering, making use of the 790GX and SB750 chipset combo.

 

Other features include Radeon HD 3300 IGP along with two PCI-E 2.0 x16 slots to allow for Hybrid Crossfire or CrossfireX support, seven SATA-II ports, single IDE connector, 7.1 channel audio with optical and co-axial S/PDIF, Gigabit Ethernet and 1x eSATA. Video output choices include D-Sub, DVI and HDMI.

 

A price hasn't been mentioned yet, but it's said to become available in stores sometime next month.
