(Video) Phenom II broke the 3DMark05 record at CES
DFI has just brought to our attention a video posted by the AMD Channel on YouTube which shows a Phenom II being successfully overclocked to an incredible 6.5GHz (using liquid helium). The action took place at CES on January 10 with world reknowned Team Finland overclockers Sampsa & SF3D as well as AMD's own Pete Hardman and Sami Makinen on a mission to push out some massive 3DMark numbers.
And they certainly succeeded with a world record result of 45,474 using a couple ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 cards in CrossfireX. DFI were excited to make mention of the 7 and a half minute video showing events leading up to the monster clocking result as the motherboard of choice for the task was their own LANParty 790FXB-M2RS.
