The new NIA will go wireless so that you are no longer tethered to the PC. It will also get an accelerometer which will detect motion, such as leaning your head for strafing and possibly other functions.

They also say that OCZ is working on getting support for the device in upcomming games. The new NIA should be available by the end of the year.
