Buffalo Designs External SSD for Eee PC

With the popularity of solid state drives increasing by the second, it should come as no surprise the more external SSD's are popping up all over the place. Buffalo has taken it a slight step further however, and released an external SSD that also works as an internal upgrade for the ASUS Eee PC.

The new external drive connects via USB as you would expect and is available in both 32GB and 64GB varieties. Those wishing for more space on the EeePC over the small 16GB drive that comes with it can remove the Buffalo drive from the enclosure and use it to upgrade the Eee PC.

 

After swapping the drive out of the Eee PC, you can place the old drive back in Buffalo's enclosure and you still have your external drive, albeit a smaller one that original.
