EVGA has added another tool to their list of utilities. This time around is the SPD Utility and is for users of the EVGA X58 Classified motherboard.

EVGA Releases SPD Utility For X58 Classified

With the new SPD Utility, users can view, flash, backup, and share the SPD settings on your memory, safely and easily. The tool never actually writes changes to memory module iteself, but rather saves it to the Backup ROM on the motherboard.

After a new SPD is stored onto the Backup ROM on the motherboard, users can enable it by going into the BIOS and selecting the "User's SPD ROM" option. If the changes are not what you are looking for, you can create a new SPD profile or simply revert back to the standard option in the BIOS.

Those wishing to give the tool a shot can download it and view detailed instructions from here.
