Blizzard will be offering tickets for $125 and the first wave of tickets will go on sale May 16. They will be available on the BlizzCon website. For those that don't get tickets before the first set of tickets, a second block will be offered on May 30.

BlizzCon will also be televised for DirecTV customers, although it will be a Pay Per View event and cost $39.95. Blizzard promises no less than eight hours of live HD covereage each day, and it will also be offered as an internet stream.

Topping off the DirecTV deal, BlizzCon will have two more perks. New DirecTV customers will get the event free of charge. Those that order the event will also receive this year's BlizzCon-exclusive World of Warcraft in-game item which will be revealed at a later date.

"BlizzCon always offers us a great chance to meet players and celebrate our shared passion for gaming," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We look forward to delivering another entertaining and memorable experience to all attendees and to those joining us from home."

In addition to serving as a gathering place for the different Blizzard Entertainment gaming communities, BlizzCon will offer an array of activities, including discussion panels, hands-on playtime with upcoming games, tournaments, contests, and more.
