More Intel news today, looks like Intel will have their 6-core Gulftown ready for prime time in Q2 2010. This new CPU will sport 6 cores each capable of executing 2 threads per core.

The CPU will remain in the LGA 1366 socket and will work with the X58 chipset. TDP should be around 130 Watts so make sure you get good enough cooling.

The company has said to a special few that the new CPU should fit the 130W TDP envelope and that it will work on existing LGA1366 infrastructure. You won't need a new chipset, as it will work with X58.

The memory supported is DDR3, and officially Intel will only support the miserable 1066MHz memory and not even 1333MHz memory will be supported but we are quite sure that faster memory will work.
