ASUS Doubles Up On GTX 285

By: (more) | Posted: May 29, 2009 7:15 am

ASUS has leaked some pictures of its upcomming limited edition card, the MARS 295.

The name is a little misleading as it is not a GTX 295. Instead, this card is a dual GPU solution of the GTX 285, featuring two GTX 285 PCBs slapped in a single card with internal SLI. This makes the card the fastest NVIDIA based card to date.

ASUS didn't just double up the GPUs though, they have also bumped the memory up to 2GB on each PCB giving the MARS 295 a total of 4GB of memory. Don't get your hopes up on getting one though, as it appears ASUS only plans on making 1000 of these. There is no word on pricing or availability for the MARS 295, but you can bet that you will be able to see more of it during Computex.
