PowerColor shows off AGP 4670

Not too long ago we talked about the AGP slot still lingering. The aging video port just will not go away.

 

PowerColor is helping to keep this standard alive with a new GPU tailor made for the AGP crowd. Although the new board will not be a top of the line card it is still current generation and enough to keep AGP alive for a few more years.

 

The gang over at TechPowerUp managed to get a snapshot of the new card along with some of its brothers at Computex 2009 and it is...well it is AGP.

Apparently there is still a huge number of AGP users that want to upgrade their graphics, yet are not willing to invest in a new system with PCI-Express support. PowerColor has listened to those requests and has now announced the PowerColor HD 4670 AGP PCS which is going to be the fastest card available for this dying interface.
