ASUS Matrix 285 GTX comes completely loaded

Computex Taipei 2009: One of our most popular stories of Computex this year was the ASUS demo of the two GeForce GTX 295 4GB cards in SLI running Far Cry at an incredibly 2160p resolution.

Next to this demo at the ASUS booth out at Nangang (watch the video below!), also being displayed was the ASUS Matrix GeForce 285 GTX graphics card and it really impressed us. It comes with three brand new features including the ability to burn your overclocked GPU core clock and memory settings into the BIOS. If it fails, there is a handy BIOS reset button on the back of the card which will bring the card back to default speeds if something goes bad. Cool!

Next up and something very cool is the hardware GPU load monitoring on the side of the card. Depending on the amount of load being exhibited on the GPU, a color will glow indicating what is going on. This is a hardware based solution, so it won't chew up important CPU time in Windows by running some lame program in the background.

Finally is the ASUS iTracker 2 software which allows you to super fine tune different clocks on the GTX 285 graphics card. The software is that advanced that it may be confused for a motherboard tweaking tool, it really allows you to hone in and adjust advanced memory settings in Windows.

We'll have to get one in for review soon, as it really looks like one of the best advanced VGA cards we've seen in sometime.
