Apple Gives iTunes Credit For 3GS Activation Issue

Apple is trying to make amends for their iPhone 3GS activation issues that forced some to wait as long as 48 hrs to activate their new toys.

Apple Gives iTunes Credit For 3GS Activation Issue

For those unaware, AT&T customers that attempted to activate their new iPhone were suffering severe delays due to high volume and "system issues." It seems that Apple thinks your two days of pure frustration should be covered with a $30 iTunes gift card.

Those lucky enough to get the credit should have it show up in their inbox sometime today. Below is a copy of the email that many have reported stating that they will be getting the iTunes credit.

Dear Apple Customer,

Thank you for your recent Apple Store order. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience caused by the delay in your iPhone activation.

We are still resolving the issue that was encountered while activating your iPhone with AT&T. Unfortunately, due to system issues and continued high activation volumes, this could take us up to an additional 48 hours to complete.

On Monday, you'll receive an email from Apple with an iTunes Store credit in the amount of $30. We hope you will enjoy this gift and accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this delay has caused.

Thank you for choosing Apple.

Sincerely,
Apple Online Store Team
