Lynnfield Performance numbers start popping up

Someone has beaten a giant, ok not really but I always wanted to use that quote. What has happened is that someone has broke NDA and revealed some early performance numbers on the Core i5 750.

This new CPU is not due until sometime in September but has managed to find its way into the hands of some of the gang over at PCGamesHardware. They are comparing this new CPU to a Core i7-920 and a hadnfull of other CPUs (including some AMD flavors).

The testing is very limited in scope and should not be considered a good evaluation of potential performance but is a decent early indicator for what we might see. PCGH used the game Anno 1404:Dawn of Discovery for their single test.

They even provided a video
