nVidia talks about Tegra SoC

By: (more) | CPU, APU & Chipsets News | Posted: Aug 13, 2009 6:22 pm

nVidia is coming clean with its new line of SoC chips called the Tegra. In the past we have seen nVidia keep its cads close to its chest. The technical press has needed moles, inside sources and of course the blurry cam to get information about the goings on behind the green curtain.

This is not the case with Tegra, nVidia had a little analyst update on the tiny device and actually gave out a basic roadmap and explained a great deal about what is going on with Tegra.

The talk was hosted by the GM of Mobile Business at nVidia.

It was interesting to hear about the upcoming products that Tegra will be inside. Anaylsts were told that Tegra should be showing up in Smartbooks from Carriers in Q4 2009. while we can expect smart phones in 2010.

Of course the big news was the confirmation that Tegra 650 is under the hood of the Zune HD. something that we have been telling you for a while now.
