AMD Shows off DX11 "Future Card"

By: (more) | Video Cards News | Posted: Aug 15, 2009 3:15 am

AMD showed off some DX11 hardware today at Quakeconn. Although no one was able to actually see the evergreen reference card that was inside the demo system PCPerspective was able to get a look at the back.

They saw dual Display Ports and a single DVI. The card was also a double height card. AMD was showing the card running Wolfenstein in DX9 mode on one and an SDK Demo on the other.

The pictures taken of the demos look very impressive. Ryan felt that being able to run a real game demo was impressive. Of course the version of Wolfenstein used could very well be specifically coded but as it was running in DX9 mode it is doubtful.
