MSI to make Pinetrail sporting version of the Wind

By: (more) | Laptops News | Posted: Aug 26, 2009 5:37 pm

MSI will be joining Asus in the Pinetrail netbook market in 2010 as we hear rumors of a Wind U150 complete with touchscreen.

The new book will be unveiled at CES next year. MSI hopes to beat rival Asus to the stores with their version although we know that Asus has one in the works so this should be interesting to watch.

Pinetrail could breathe new life into the again Intel Netbook platform as it brings increased performance and graphics without using up more power or generating more heat.

There are no more details on specs or pricing but you can bet that it will have similar specs to existing Winds (160GB HDD, 1GB DDR2, etc).
