LGA1366 based Core i7 920 to be replaced by Core i7 930, coming Q1'10

By: (more) | CPU, APU & Chipsets News | Posted: Oct 30, 2009 12:11 am

With the good ole' Core i7 920 being the only surviving LGA1366 desktop processor model since i7 launched last year, it too will be discontinued in the near future, but not before the upcoming Core i7 930 is released to market.

The 930 has a clockspeed of 2.88GHz and is much the same in all other aspects; four cores, 8MB of L3 cache, 130W TDP and a price tag of around $284. Word has it that this processor is expected to debut during Q1 of next year.
