NVIDIA's Tegra 2 to double performance?

By: (more) | CPU, APU & Chipsets News | Posted: Nov 9, 2009 9:14 am

Word has leaked out that NVIDIA are hard at work on Tegra 2, its second generation mobile procesor which is rumoured to be a dual-core solution using updated ARM9 architecture.

Along with combined improvements to the graphics core, it's been said that this chip will be around twice as fast as its current predecessor.

Whilst primarily catering to the smartphone market, this chip should make for a highly impressive range of next-gen products, strong potential for the Zune HD, Nintendo DS and more.

All we're hearing at this point is sometime in 2010. I'm sure we'll hear a lot more about it in the coming months.
