AMD reveals 2010, 2011 lineup - all cards on Bulldozer

By: (more) | CPU, APU & Chipsets News | Posted: Nov 12, 2009 5:04 am

With its Annual Financial Analyst Day having just taken place, AMD has revealed details of its future processor and platform lineup through 2010 and 2011.

'Bulldozer' is the one to keep an eye out for, this being a major revision overhaul for AMD's desktop and notebook platforms which is expected to be significantly more efficient in multi-threaded code over anything the company currently has on offer.

What's more, it'll be very friendly towards graphics chipset pairing and a supplemented variant dubbed 'Bobcat' will be tailored towards ultraportables.

"Zambezi", an eight-cored CPU for high-end mainstream desktops will be the first Bulldozer solution to show up, followed by Llano; the first to fully match up with AMD's Fusion strategy by integrating a graphics core into the actual processor.

For full details of the 2010 and 2011 lineups, check out AMD's official announcement here folks.
