Info on Intel's Arrandale incl. pricing

By: (more) | CPU, APU & Chipsets News | Posted: Nov 13, 2009 4:21 am

Some more specific details to Intel's upcoming Arrandale CPUs has just surfaced which will begin with three models for launch sometime in the first half of 2010.

We learn that the these first three models will be the Core i5-520UM, Core i7-620UM and Core i7-640UM. Clock speeds for each of these are 1.06GHz for the first two, whilst the i7-640UM will run a clockspeed of 1.2GHz. Certainly seems quite low, but remember, these chips are all about huge power saving abilities; 32nm dual-core and both memory controller and graphics engine all on the same package.

Pricing has also been attained at $241, $278, and $305 per unit respectively. It's expected that the initial platform pricing should stay around the $500 mark for netbooks and ultrathins (where Arrandale is mostly aimed at) should be between the 6 and 800 Dollar range.
