Vantec to offer USB 3.0 product line
I was bummed when I heard it would be 2011 before Intel would build USB 3.0 support into its chipsets. Until USB 3.0 hits the mainstream, adoption of the format by vendors won't be as strong. Vantec has announced that it will be offering a full USB 3.0 range in the coming months.

The company will debut 2.5-inch and a 3.5-inch enclosure that use the USB 3.0 interface. The enclosures will be in the NexStar 3 family and have a black mirror finish. The enclosures are for the DIY market.
The enclosures, like other USB 3.0 devices, will be fully backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1. The products will ship early next year at undisclosed pricing. You will probably need a USB 3.0 add-in card to use the things though.
