Asus Eee Pad rumors surface

By: (more) | Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Dec 10, 2009 5:48 pm

The rumors swirling that Apple is getting ready to launch a tablet just won't die and a few other rumors have made their rounds about new tablets coming soon. The tech world seems to be fixated on the tablet form factor, which is a surprisingly slim market today.

A new tablet rumor has surfaced and it's not about Apple this time. According to this rumor, Asus is set to launch an Eee Pad that is a tablet style device. The leaked pic is certainly not a sexy device; it looks like the thermostat in my living room.

The tablet is said to have a screen ranging from 4-inches to 7-inches and other than that, we don't really know anything. Asus has a huge stable of netbooks that could certainly provide the donor hardware for a tablet. I for one will not be surprised to see this rumor turn out to be true. Maybe that is what Apple is waiting for, someone else to try the market out before it jumps in.
