MSI's Pine Trail driven U160 gets a first look

By: (more) | Laptops News | Posted: Dec 22, 2009 12:32 pm

MSI have a very tidy number on the horizon in its Wind series of netbooks which is based off Intel's newly launched next-gen Atom N450 / Pine Trail platform.

MSI calls it the U160 and they plan to unveil it during CES early Jan, but the folks at Engadget have been fortunate enough to get a first look at it for us all today.

Certainly looks pretty schmick. It looks to sport a chiclet keyboard and well incorporated touchpad that's only differentiated from the palmrest by a grid of raised dots.

MSI promise very long battery life out of the U160; 10+ hours off a full charge. Pricing is said to start somewhere around the $350 mark.

We'll be hearing and seeing more about the U160 come CES in Vegas next month.
