Samsung N220 netbook with matte screen breaks cover

By: (more) | Laptops & Netbooks News | Posted: Dec 29, 2009 6:13 pm

If you have read any of my notebook and netbook reviews at Tweaktown, you know I loathe glossy screens. They are all fine and good for movies when it is dark, but the glare is a huge issue just about any other time.

A new Samsung netbook has tipped up called the N220 on a French retail site that sports a 10.1-inch matte finish screen. The little rig also runs an Intel Atom N220 processor at 1.66GHz and the screen resolution is 1024 x 600.

The netbook has 1GB of RAM and a 250GB HDD. Windows 7 Starter edition is the OS for the machine. Other features include Bluetooth, WiFi, and a SDHC card slot. Power comes from a 6-cell battery promising 11.5 hours of run time. The machine sells for about $503 in France.
