A-DATA unveils N002 USB and SATA II combo flash drive

By: (more) | Connectivity & Communications News | Posted: Dec 30, 2009 6:43 pm

I for one am very glad that USB 3.0 is on the way. I am tired of waiting so long for my backups to get finished over the pokey USB 2.0 connection. In 2010, we will see a glut of USB 3.0 products on the market.

A-DATA has announced a new USB 3.0 and SATA II combo drive that is set to hit the market in early 2010. The drive is called the N002 and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 drives. The N002 will be offered in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB capacities.

A-DATA claims that the N002 will have a write speed of up to 200MB/s and a read speed of 170 MB/s. Also bundled with the flash drive are A-DATA's UFDtoGo software and a trial of Norton Internet Security 2010.
