HP unveils TouchSmart tm2 convertible notebook
CES 2010 - The number of new notebooks that you see at CES each year is staggering. You will see machines there with the latest technology and some concept devices that will never see the inside of a retail store. HP has unveiled a new convertible notebook at the show that will be shipping very soon.
The notebook is called the HP TouchSmart tm2 and is a convertible touch-enabled notebook with lots of features. The machine has a capacitive multi touch display that also supports pen input. When used with a pen the machine accepts handwriting with digital ink and drawing is supported.
The machine runs a variety of Intel Core 2 Duo processors and can be fitted with ATI discrete graphics. The multi touch nature of the machine is taken advantage of with several applications shipping with the computer. One of them is a touch-enabled version of Netflix. The machine will ship on January 17 starting at $949.
