AMD to release tri-core mobile processors by mid-year

By: (more) | CPU, APU & Chipsets News | Posted: Jan 11, 2010 7:23 am

There's been indication that AMD are planning to release triple-core mobile CPUs by mid-year which will be suited to its upcoming 'Danube' mobile platform that carries support for dual, triple and quad-core processors.

We know at this stage these upcoming triple-cored parts will be 45nm based and only time will tell if it's possible to have the fourth core unlocked, as has been the case with some of AMD's desktop parts in the past.
