ExoPC Slate tablet computer debuts in France

By: (more) | Trade Shows News | Posted: Feb 1, 2010 5:04 pm

I am sure that HP won't appreciate the fact that a new tablet computer called the ExoPC Slate has debuted with the same Slate moniker that HP uses on its own tablet offering. The tablet market is certainly set to grow over the coming months with the iPad now official.

The ExoPC Slate is an 8.9-inch tablet that runs Windows 7 and is designed for multi-touch input. The device uses an onscreen keyboard like the iPhone and iPad. The machine is also capable of showing SD and HD live TV feeds and playing music as a PMP.

The Slate can also act as an eBook reader with access to thousands of books from francophone. The machine is a netbook under the skin with an Intel Atom N270 CPU, 2GB of RAM, and a 32GB SSD. WiFi is built in along with Bluetooth and a memory card reader.
