S1Digital intros Blu-ray Disc Changer - holds up to 100 Blu-rays

By: (more) | HT & Movies News | Posted: Feb 5, 2010 7:04 am

A company by the name of S1Digital has just announced the first Blu-ray disc changer to market which can house up to 100 Blu-rays for easy access and playback without physically having to find and load your discs.

The unit can be controlled via software (bundled with My Movies and is compatible with Windows Media Center) and each time a new movie is loaded into the unit, it downloads the metadata and cover art automatically to the server to make for a cleaner and more streamlined searching method.

The downside is the price. S1Digital are shifting it at a whopping $1,499, so unless someone's ultra lazy or watches and changes Blu-rays day and night, I doubt it'll go on their shopping list.
