AMD shows off Llano CPU/GPU processor
Intel has previously talked up tech that it was working on that combined a GPU and a CPU into one device. The firm has yet to launch the technology on the market though. Today AMD is offering up a few details on its own combination of a CPU and GPU with the code name Llano.

AMD is mum on GPU details other than the GPU being DirectX 11 compliant. All the real details are about the Llano CPU side of things. The CPU has four cores and is built on a 32nm process. All four cores of the CPU are out-of-order and each has 1MB of L2 cache.
AMD reportedly plans to clock the CPU at under 3GHz and is targeting a power consumption range of 2.5 to 25 watts. AMD plans to start sampling Llano in H2 2010 and expects machines using the processor to hit sometime in 2011.
