gScreen not giving up on bringing dual-screen laptop to market

By: (more) | Laptops News | Posted: Feb 15, 2010 5:55 am

Multi-display hungry mob gScreen had plans to bring a dual 15.4-inch notebook to market, but despite seeing pre-production samples floating about, it never became a reality for the masses.

However, the latest news is that the company is still heavily focused on bringing a dual-screen notebook to market and is apparently now working on the SpaceBook 17 which uses two 17.3-inch LED backlit displays.

What has been learned about this new model thus far in terms of specs is the use of a Core i7-620M (2.66GHz) processor, 4GB of memory, the option of a 250 to 500GB 7200RPM hard disk, GeForce GTS 150 1GB GPU and a DVD-RW.

Other features include both WiFi and Bluetooth support, 6-in-1 card reader, Gigabit Ethernet and 9-cell battery. The notebook will come shipped with Windows 7 Professional and should preparation for the launch go smoothly, shipping will commence in May.
