Danamics aim to perfect Liquid Metal technology with Superleggera

By: (more) | Cases, Cooling & PSU News | Posted: Feb 17, 2010 4:54 am

Danamics brought something new to the CPU cooling market in 2008 which was the first to use liquid metal cooling; the LM10. However, it never really took off and wasn't as affective as many had hoped. But it did show that there was definitely potential in the design, thus Danamics went back to the drawing board and brought out the superior LMX solution recently with active liquid metal pumping through passive heat-pipes.

Still not 100% satisfied with the performance vs. price, Danamics have continued to make efforts in better implementing the technology and today will be announcing the new Superleggera cooler.

The folks at Nordic Hardware managed to get hold of a bunch of images showing off this beast. It's said to offer significantly better performance than high-end air coolers and will only cost around 90€ (+VAT) which is still cheaper than a high-end water cooling arrangement.
