Rumors point to MacBook Pro update in March

By: (more) | Laptops News | Posted: Feb 18, 2010 5:08 pm

The Soothsayer warned to beware the ides of March. If you are a MacBook fan ready to jump on a new MacBook Pro in the next few weeks you might want to wait. There are numerous reports popping up that an update is coming next month.

Exactly what the update will be is unknown, but a good guess would be an update to the new Intel Core i5 processor line for the series. There have been reports at several publications that screen shots of inventory computers for major American and Canadian retailers are pointing to a date of March 14.

One store worker at a Canadian Best Buy claims to have seen newly configured MacBooks in inventory that had not hit stores yet. We all know how Apple rumors go; they are false more often than not. Still, the MacBook Pro line is due for a refresh so I would wait a few weeks before you buy.
