NVIDIA unveils its Next-Generation ION platform

By: (more) | CPU, APU & Chipsets News | Posted: Mar 2, 2010 7:05 am

In a timely fashion alongside AMD's NDA lift on 890GX comes the unveiling of NVIDIA's Next-Generation ION platform today (otherwise referred to as ION 2) for netbooks and nettops.

This new version of the ION platform is being given some bold claims from NVIDIA that new-gen ION netbooks will give up to 10x the performance of the first-gen models whilst also being more efficient with better battery life on tap (10 hrs+).

Our notebook/netbook reviewer Shane was quick to get hold of as much information as he could at this point to learn more about what's on tap vs Gen 1. You can read his insight to ION 2 here.

There's also a bunch more coverage on next-gen ION floating around on the web which you can get to via the links below :-
