QNAP displaying a few new goodies at CeBIT
The folks at Techpowerup stopped by QNAPs booth earlier today and spotted a new five-bay NAS on display dubbed the TS-559 Pro which nestles in between QNAPs existing four and six-bay units.
QNAP also gave an intro to a new interface they've been working on for their TS-110 and 210 units which gives the ability to stream movies, music and pictures across a web interface as well as giving access to designated folders and content to certain users using the built-in user management interface. QNAP says this software update should be made available by the end of this month.
For the enterprise crowd QNAP also had on display its new four and eight bay server products (TS-459U-RP and TS-859U-RP respectively) which are designed to fit into 1U or 2U racks; these intended for use as embedded storage for VMWare setups.
